Xero and Bookkeeper360 launch groundbreaking accounting integration.

Xero and Bookkeeper360 launch groundbreaking accounting integration. Xero has announced a strategic partnership with Bookkeeper360, introducing a unique integration that promises to redefine how small businesses manage their accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). This innovative collaboration merges Xero's financial software capabilities with Bookkeeper360's cloud-based accounting tools. For small business owners, this means access to streamlined payment processes and enhanced financial management right at their fingertips. The integration allows Bookkeeper360 to embed Xero and Melio's top-notch AP and AR services directly within its platform. As a result, accounting firms can offer these powerful tools under their own brand, creating a seamless and cohesive user experience without necessitating a switch to separate platforms. This is especially vital for small businesses that rely on efficient financial operations to thrive in an increasingly competitive landscape. Jonathan Meltzer, Managing Director, US at Xero, described the significance of this integration: "Our custom integration with Bookkeeper360 demonstrates what's possible when platform connectivity is at its best. By utilizing both Xero and Melio's combined capabilities, we've created an even more powerful ecosystem that ensures Bookkeeper360's customers have direct access to accounting, payments, payroll, and analytics capabilities in environments that are native to their core workflows." The benefits of this collaboration for small businesses are compelling. Firstly, the ability to embed an integrated financial tool means that small business owners can access a firm-branded user interface inclusive of single sign-on features, portals, and internal tools without disrupting their existing workflows. This allows for a more intuitive experience, reducing the typical friction associated with using multiple platforms. Moreover, the integration comes with support from dedicated engineering teams, ensuring that businesses benefit from a robust solution that can scale over time. This is particularly crucial for small and mid-sized businesses looking to grow; having enterprise-level resources at their disposal can make a significant difference in maintaining efficient operations. Cost efficiency is another major advantage. The new solution prioritizes a lower total cost of software, eliminating per-seat fees commonly associated with traditional systems. By removing platform subscription fees and focusing on simple per-client pricing, small businesses can allocate their budget more effectively, which can aid in reducing operational costs. David Emmerman, Chief Operating Officer of Bookkeeper360, emphasized the impact of this partnership: "Our focus has always been on combining expert accounting services with technology that makes managing finances easier for growing businesses. Our partnership with Xero allows us to further enhance that experience by bringing accounting and payment workflows together, helping our clients save time, streamline operations, and gain greater control over their finances." While the advantages of this integration are clear, small business owners should also be aware of potential challenges. First, the smooth adoption of the new system will depend on the existing technology used by the businesses. Companies already embedded in different software ecosystems may find initial integration hurdles to address. Transitioning to a new system can require time and possibly training, which could temporarily disrupt daily operations. Furthermore, as with any tech integration, ongoing compliance and security are paramount. Businesses will need to ensure that the new system adheres to regulatory standards, especially regarding data privacy and financial security, to mitigate risks associated with financial operations. For small business owners seeking to enhance their financial management processes, this partnership between Xero and Bookkeeper360 appears to be a promising development. The integration of industry-leading tools within a unified platform has the potential to empower businesses, streamline operations, and ultimately drive growth. Xero and Bookkeeper360 launch first custom white-label AP and AR integration powered by Melio

Xero has partnered with Bookkeeper360 to launch a custom integration, the first of its kind for the company. It embeds the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tools of Melio, a Xero company, into the Bookkeeper360 platform as a white-label solution. Bookkeeper360 can offer clients AP and AR services under its own brand, without asking them to switch platforms. Xero says the setup includes firm-branded interfaces, dedicated engineering support, and pricing with no per-seat fees. "Our custom integration with Bookkeeper360 demonstrates what's possible when platform connectivity is at its best," said Jonathan Meltzer, managing director, US at Xero. Xero says other accounting firms can use the capability, whether or not they use Xero. It ties the move to its US growth strategy, as firms seek integrated platforms.

Xero launches first financial management app for Google Gemini, serving 5 million users

Xero, the global small business platform, has launched a connected app for Google Gemini, becoming the first financial management platform to do so. Customers can pull live Xero data into Gemini chats to check cash flow, track profit and loss, and manage invoices and bills without switching apps. The app runs on Xero's agentic platform, JAX. Gemini can also turn data into charts, such as net profit and loss graphs and aged receivables. Any action that changes financial data, such as issuing an invoice, needs user confirmation first. Xero says shared data is used only for the user's session and not to train Gemini models. Xero serves 5 million small businesses and advisors across more than 180 countries. A task feature for scheduled workflows is coming soon on eligible plans.

Xero brings real-time financial intelligence to Google Gemini.

Xero brings real-time financial intelligence to Google Gemini. Small businesses and advisors can access live Xero data to answer financial questions and take action in Xero SAN MATEO, Calif.-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Xero, the global small business platform, today announced a new integration with Google Gemini, bringing live financial intelligence and Xero data directly into Gemini conversations where many small businesses, accountants and bookkeepers already work. As the first financial management platform to launch a connected app for Gemini, Xero will enable customers to use Gemini to retrieve real-time financial answers, analyze business performance, and complete routine tasks without switching between applications or losing financial context. "Connecting Xero financial data into Gemini conversations helps small businesses and their accountants and bookkeepers instantly check their financial position, track cash flow and manage invoices and bills, all without breaking their workflow," said Diya Jolly, President of Product & Technology, Xero. "This is another major milestone as we continue to help eliminate operational friction and foster collaboration for our customers, delivering real-time financial intelligence wherever they work." Powered by Xero's agentic platform, JAX, small businesses and their advisors who use the connected app will see their real-time financial data flow directly into Gemini while maintaining secure, continuous synchronization with Xero. Key capabilities include: * Financial health & performance: Generate Profit & Loss statements, track income and expenses, and monitor overall balance sheets and cash position via conversational prompts * Sales & receivables: Identify overdue balances, draft initial invoice summaries, track high-revenue clients and manage recurring subscriptions * Purchases & payables: Track outstanding payables, flag overdue bills, and surface specific vendor payment requirements * Interactive visual reports: Gemini can transform raw data into clear visual charts - such as net profit/loss graphs and aged receivables distributions - directly within the chat interface * Organization & contacts: Retrieve essential business details, base currency information, and contact information for customers and suppliers "Accountants and bookkeepers can ask Gemini for a client's profit and loss, aged receivables, or cash position and get the answer, charted, from live Xero data," said Anurag Agrawal, Founder and Chief Global Analyst at Techaisle. "The time that previously went into assembling those reports can go into helping clients understand what the numbers mean and what to do next." Proactive Intelligence with Gemini Tasks Coming soon, customers on eligible plans can do more with Xero's connected app by working within task toggle in the Gemini app. Leveraging live Xero data, users can switch to 'tasks' to create time-based schedules and workflows for routine work. Customers can also create workflows such as combining Xero and Gmail to prepare follow-ups for overdue invoices, or create a recurring schedule for actions like a daily summary of key financial information, such as pending bills and current cash position. To ensure human oversight, any operation that modifies financial data, such as issuing an invoice or sending a payment reminder, requires explicit user confirmation in Xero's connected app in Google Gemini before execution. The review step and final judgement stay with the accountant or bookkeeper and the business owner, grounded in Xero's commitment to Accountable Intelligence where AI handles the heavy lifting and surfaces insights, keeping humans firmly at the helm. Xero Wherever You Work The Xero connected app for Google Gemini is the latest in a series of integrations introduced by Xero that enable small businesses and their advisors to access their financial information across the tools they work in every day. Across Microsoft 365, Claude, Claude for Small Business, ChatGPT, and now Gemini, Xero meets customers wherever they work, with data they trust and in tools they use every day. Xero is also introducing a new capability that allows accountants and bookkeepers to seamlessly switch between their practice's client organizations while working across all of these integrations. This ensures access to real-time, client-specific data when and where advisors need it. In line with Xero's responsible data use commitments, data responsibility is foundational to the Gemini integration. Financial information shared between platforms is used solely for the user's session and Xero data is not used to train Google Gemini models. About Xero Xero is a global small business platform and a trusted financial operating system for the AI era. Xero's purpose is to make life better for people in small business, their advisors, and communities around the world. By unifying core financial operations (including accounting, payroll and payments) underpinned by insights and a robust ecosystem into autonomous workflows, Business Wire, Inc. empower 5 million small businesses and accountants and bookkeepers across 180+ countries to move from managing records to making informed decisions.
