Oula Health provides maternity care that blends obstetrics and midwifery into a single, hospital-based model centered on the patient. The care works by pairing obstetrics and midwifery teams, following evidence-based protocols, offering longer visits, and providing 24/7 access between appointments, with billing handled through insurance (including Medicaid) and support from financial counseling. It differentiates itself by combining OB and midwifery, delivering more personalized attention, and prioritizing accessibility and transparency in care. The goal is to offer compassionate, individualized, evidence-based maternity care that sits between traditional OB and midwifery while remaining financially accessible.

The clinic, which opened in September 2025, is Stamford Health's first midwifery offering and marks Oula's second market expansion beyond New York. The Norwalk clinic provides care from preconception through postpartum, supported by midwives, OB-GYNs, and care navigators. Services include telehealth, virtual support, workshops, and gynecology care. All patients deliver at Stamford Hospital, which recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation of its maternity facilities. Since opening in Brooklyn in 2021, Oula has supported over 2,500 births.
