Oula Health provides maternity care by blending obstetrics and midwifery to offer a compassionate, evidence-based hospital birth experience tailored to each mother. The service works by offering a “Middle Ground” approach where care is personalized, with twice as much time spent with patients as in traditional OB practices and round-the-clock availability between visits. Revenue comes from medical fees billed to insurance (including Medicaid), supplemented by financial counseling to help patients manage bills. The company differentiates itself through a hybrid care model that emphasizes longer, more personalized care, accessibility to a wide range of insurance plans, and strong patient support. Its goal is to deliver personalized, empathetic, evidence-based maternity care that improves patient satisfaction and outcomes while ensuring accessibility for diverse populations.
