The Wayfair Creative team is a multi-talented group of innovative thinkers across many disciplines, partnering closely with strategic leaders to catapult Wayfair into the leading destination for all things home by developing engaging consumer campaigns, next-in-class consumer experiences, and scalable, but distinct brand systems.
We’re looking for a well-rounded Motion Designer to support our major promotions and digital marketing team as well as various content channels. Motion deliverables include identity elements, digital and paid social activations, email marketing, on site activations, retail display screens, tv and online video activations, and more. You’ll assist in presenting creative recommendations to cross functional partners for alignment and buy-in and work closely with marketing teams, designers, copywriters, Imagery Art Directors, and more. To be successful in this role, you must be resourceful and inventive, eager to partner with other creatives and non-creatives alike.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with our design and copy team to produce work that resonates with our customers, follows our creative guidelines and continues to raise the bar for our brand
- Conceptualize and animate a high volume of on site and digital marketing collateral
- Participate in collaborative brainstorms, concept development, and presentations with creative peers and cross-functional partners
- Engage in thoughtful critiques, both responding positively to and offering constructive feedback
- Possess an analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
- Interpret needs, objectives, and direction from multiple sources to ensure design concepts meet business goals
- Collaborate with our internal motion design team to implement motion brand standards and iterate on existing motion treatments
- Be a vocal contributor, an organized team player, and willing to pitch in on additional projects
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in animation, graphic design, visual communication, or related field, preferred
- Technical proficiency with After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma a bonus but not mandatory
- Strong motion concepting, typography, and visual storytelling skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and creative problem-solving skills
- Confidence in creative abilities plus the ability to articulate ideas and opinions
- Ability to stay organized and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Continual interest in the latest design, art, technology, and current trends

To be considered you must have an online portfolio. Your work should demonstrate a strong eye for design, experience in social and/or digital video, and a respect for brand standards.
An Important Note about Wayfair’s In-Office Policy:
All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday.

The salary range for this position is $64,000-$70,500 however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
