About the job
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- A Florida Professional Engineer registration.
- At least 4 years of progressive consulting or related professional experience; a Master of Science degree may substitute for 1 year and a Doctor of Philosophy degree may substitute for 2 years.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background investigation, drug screen, and motor vehicle report.
- The employer will not sponsor a work visa, including H-1B, for this position.
- Design roadway, stormwater, and site development projects from concept through completion.
- Prepare plans, specifications, technical reports, and project documents consistent with project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Identify and solve engineering problems by proposing creative and practical solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality work and meet client expectations.
- Review and provide feedback on the work of Engineer Interns and peers to ensure quality and consistency.
- Support quality control processes and uphold the company's standards for technical excellence.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Engage in continuing professional development and stay current on design standards and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
