Requirements
  • The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six or more credit hours.
  • Must have successfully completed one of the following courses: Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, or Chemistry.
  • A criminal background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with the Sciences for Health Programs labs, which includes Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Chemistry.
  • Prepares and deconstructs labs, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensures and adheres to cleanliness and safety following established regulations and guidelines.
  • Greets and assists students and staff participating in labs which includes answering and directing phone calls and assisting in-person visitors.
  • Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
  • Strictly honors the privacy, security, and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
