Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multistate Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Three years of healthcare clinical experience.
  • Active West Virginia or compact Registered Nurse licensure is required.
  • Working knowledge of InterQual and/or Milliman Care Guidelines.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws, NCQA, and industry regulations related to disease management, utilization management, case management, and discharge planning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to decrease care variance, ensure timely discharges, and refer members to other plan resources to meet their care conditions.
  • Assist with building and implementing care management review processes, including prior authorization, predetermination, concurrent reviews, and retrospective reviews, consistent with established industry and corporate standards.
  • Assist with building and implementing care management reviews according to accepted criteria, clinical guidelines, and policies.
  • Ensure interventions are collaborative and focus on maximizing members’ healthcare outcomes.
  • Understand the peer-to-peer review process and work with Medical Directors to continuously improve member and provider network services for this process.
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders and partners to continuously improve processes and build network relationships.
  • Collaborate with medical management team members to identify members whose healthcare outcomes may be enhanced by coaching or case management interventions.
  • Understand data collected within the position and work with team members to improve outcomes.
  • Pursue lifelong learning and continuous improvement of processes across utilization management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing Degree (ASN); alternatively, current enrollment in a BSN program with BSN completion within three years of hire.
  • Medical management experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid populations.
  • Utilization management experience.

Peak Health opens new Member Service Center in Morgantown. Peak Health opens new Member Service Center in Morgantown to make in-person member support more accessible. Peak Health is excited to announce the opening of its new Member Service Center, giving members a convenient and welcoming place to receive personalized, face-to-face assistance with their health insurance needs. The new center officially opened July 1 and is located on the first floor of Peak Health's headquarters at 1085 Van Voorhis Road, Suite 140, Morgantown, WV 26505. The Member Service Center reflects Peak Health's ongoing commitment to creating a simpler, more connected healthcare experience by making it easier for members to get the support they need. Whether members have questions about their benefits, need help coordinating an appointment, want to make a bill payment, or simply prefer speaking with someone in person, the Member Service Center offers one-on-one support from knowledgeable Member Service representatives. No appointment is necessary. "As a provider-led health plan, we're always looking for ways to make healthcare easier to navigate and more personal for our members," said Amos Ross. "The new Member Service Center gives our members another convenient way to connect with our team, ask questions, and receive personalized support close to home."
