Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Availability for special shifts, including third shift and/or weekends when required by the location, is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos is required.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and employees is required.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using units of American money is required.
  • Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and wear a complete uniform.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment, occasionally sit and climb or balance, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds is required.
Responsibilities
  • Meet with the outgoing Operations or lead manager daily at the beginning of the shift.
  • Check the schedule daily to ensure staffing levels are maintained according to guidelines.
  • Perform facility rounds daily at the beginning of the shift and before the shift ends.
  • Report issues or malfunctions not handled in-house to the appropriate entity according to protocol.
  • Conduct daily briefings with supervisors before breaks begin.
  • Select a policy or procedure weekly for supervisor training.
  • Coach, train, and develop staff on company and client goals and expectations daily and on an ongoing basis.
  • Monitor payroll and attendance tracking daily for errors and corrections.
  • Ensure violations are addressed with appropriate progressive disciplinary actions and signatures.
  • Monitor radio communication to ensure transmission and response times comply with policy and established goals.
  • Respond to calls as needed when assigned managers are unavailable.
  • Cover for supervisors during breaks.
  • Respond to incidents involving slip-and-falls, fires, or other catastrophic occurrences.
  • Review incident reports daily for proper completion and forward them to the Safety Manager, Human Resources, Executive Assistant, and/or Fleet Manager.
  • Complete, email, and file daily operations logs in the appropriate folders and locations, and forward them to the Executive Assistant every Monday morning.
  • Appraise supervisors quarterly and annually and conduct performance review discussions.
  • Monitor operations throughout daily shifts to prevent excessive delays and respond during contingency drills.
  • Execute contingency protocols for qualifying events, including required notifications.
  • Plan the workforce by preparing weekly schedules, conducting shift bids, posting and awarding vacancies, approving benefits according to collective bargaining agreement guidelines, and posting weekly shift availability and award lists.
  • Monitor and manage overtime for hourly staff.
  • Disseminate information to other departments and employees as needed.
  • Conduct monthly safety-topic training and obtain signatures from Shuttle Operations staff.
  • Review and audit payroll daily and weekly for each pay period.
  • Monitor the flight board for flight delays.
  • Respond to unresolved customer concerns during shifts and escalate them to the appropriate Senior Manager when necessary.
  • Interview candidates for hourly positions as needed.
  • Compile weekly time samples for Shuttle Operations and forward them to the appropriate Assistant General Manager on Monday.
  • Conduct first-step grievance hearings.
  • Disseminate information to department staff and customers when necessary.
  • Exercise the Three Keys to Customer Satisfaction and Five Customer Service Behaviors to support successful customer interactions.
  • Maintain familiarity with all aspects of each location to assist during contingency situations.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of parking-facility areas, including major roadways, interstates, landmarks, airline locations, cashier booths, and lost-and-found areas, to assist customers.
  • Report weekly status and light-outage reports to the General Manager's office.
  • Perform random driver's-license, Zonar-card, speed, and pre- and post-trip inspection checks.
  • Coordinate opening and closing of lots and monitor ingress and egress in the Park-Ride lots daily.
