About the job

Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and at least 7 years of applied experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for large-scale platforms and services.
  • Expert proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or Go, with strong code quality, testing, and debugging practices.
  • Experience designing and leading adoption of agentic artificial-intelligence-enabled development practices across teams, including standards for human-in-the-loop validation, auditability and traceability of changes, and secure handling of sensitive data.
  • Strong understanding of responsible artificial intelligence use and control expectations in engineering workflows, including security and resiliency implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance.
  • Experience designing and operating high-scale inference and distributed systems, including multi-tenant services, backpressure, load shedding, rate limiting, request prioritization, and tail-latency reduction.
  • Strong understanding of GPU-serving fundamentals, including compute and memory trade-offs, batching, concurrency, network bottlenecks, and performance profiling, with experience improving production efficiency and utilization.
  • Experience with model-serving stacks and patterns, including model registries and artifacts, rollout strategies, canaries, A/B testing, shadow traffic, and performance benchmarking methodologies.
  • Practical cloud-native experience with containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, and observability, plus experience operating production systems with clear service-level objectives.
  • Experience applying new methods to solve complex technology problems across technical disciplines such as platform engineering, machine-learning systems, data engineering, or distributed systems.
  • Ability to present to and influence senior leaders and executives by translating complex technical topics into clear decisions and trade-offs.
  • Strong understanding of business outcomes and product delivery, with the ability to align platform roadmaps to measurable impact.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and operate a high-throughput, low-latency large language model serving platform across graphics processing unit and central processing unit fleets, including batching, scheduling, caching, streaming responses, multi-tenancy, and autoscaling.
  • Build and evolve a generative artificial intelligence gateway and inference application programming interface layer with authentication, authorization, quota and rate limiting, routing, request shaping, policy enforcement hooks, and standardized observability.
  • Develop and optimize intelligent model routing across multiple open-source and vendor model backends, balancing quality, latency, reliability, and cost with configurable policies and guardrails.
  • Drive GPU-serving optimization through kernel-level performance tuning, model compilation and acceleration, efficient memory management, key-value cache strategies, and prefill-versus-decode throughput tuning.
  • Implement quantization and compression strategies, including INT8, INT4, and weight-only quantization, using evaluation-driven selection and safe rollout practices to preserve quality and reduce cost and latency.
  • Design and implement disaggregated serving patterns, including prefill/decode separation, key-value cache offload, tiered serving, and distributed inference architectures to improve utilization and tail latency.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code; review, debug, and improve code written by others; and create durable, reusable frameworks and platform components used across teams.
  • Own and support software development kit and service integrations, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Establish service-level objectives and service-level agreements for inference services and build operational excellence through load testing, capacity planning, incident response playbooks, regression detection, continuous performance benchmarking, performance and cost observability, and automated remediation of recurring issues.
  • Architect and govern agentic artificial-intelligence-enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes, while defining guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams.
  • Apply software development life-cycle toolchain knowledge, including enterprise-authorized artificial-intelligence-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve automation value at scale.
  • Influence leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology to drive alignment and outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Deep experience with large language model inference optimization techniques such as speculative decoding, key-value cache management, paged-attention-style approaches, optimized sampling, and continuous batching.

  • Experience building model routing and governance layers with policy-based routing, fallback strategies, circuit breakers, per-tenant controls, and cost-aware routing.
  • Strong performance-engineering background involving profiling, flame graphs, GPU profiling, bottleneck analysis, and production tuning under real workload constraints.
  • Experience with multi-tenant platforms, reusable frameworks, and developer self-service capabilities at enterprise scale.
  • Strong security-by-design experience for machine-learning and large-language-model systems, including secrets, access control, data handling, supply chain controls, and resiliency engineering.

About the company

JPMorgan Chase runs the largest bank in the United States, which serves households and small businesses as Chase and large companies, governments, and investors as J.P. Morgan. During the 2008 financial crisis it bought the failing investment bank Bear Stearns and lender Washington Mutual, and in 2023 it took over First Republic Bank after regulators seized it. Chase takes deposits and earns interest on credit cards, mortgages, and car loans, while the investment side earns fees for advising on mergers, raising money for companies, trading stocks and bonds, and managing wealth. Formed in a 2000 merger, JPMorgan Chase traces its roots to 1799 and is based in New York City.

Dimon poached Buffett's protégé Todd Combs to run $10B fund; Buffett: "at least he's going to you

JPMorgan Chase chief executive Jamie Dimon hired Todd Combs, a former Geico chief executive and Berkshire Hathaway investment manager, to lead a $10 billion investment group. Combs joined in December 2025 under the bank's Security and Resiliency Initiative, which aims to help companies accelerate manufacturing. Speaking at a US Chamber of Commerce event in January, Dimon said he called Warren Buffett personally. Buffett "probably wouldn't have preferred it, but he said, 'if he's going anywhere, at least he's going to you,'" Dimon said. Buffett's assistant confirmed the account. Combs had been at Berkshire since 2010 and sat on JPMorgan's board for nine years. His group has already committed $5 billion of its $10 billion allocation.

JPMorgan Chase closing Design District branch near Dallas Market Center - what you need to know - dallas365.info. Impact on local businesses and customers: navigating the end of in-person banking at the Design District. JPMorgan Chase has revealed plans to discontinue operations at its Design District branch near the Dallas Market Center, signaling a major change in the bank's footprint within the area. This decision has raised concerns among local entrepreneurs and residents who depend on face-to-face banking services for their daily financial needs. Retailers and office tenants in this vibrant commercial hub often rely on the branch for essential activities such as cash deposits, immediate transaction support, and personalized financial advice - services that many find challenging to replicate through digital channels alone. Business owners worry that the closure could introduce operational hurdles, especially for those less familiar with online banking platforms. The loss of direct interaction with banking professionals may complicate tasks that require nuanced understanding or swift... - - Author: Miles Cooper Publish date: 2026-10-23 23:42:00 Copyright for syndicated content belongs to the linked Source. - - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8

JP Morgan sees emerging market weight loss drug sales hitting $22B by 2035

JP Morgan expects weight-loss drug sales in China, India, and Brazil to reach $22 billion by 2035, up from $6.6 billion today. Usage remains low: below 0.1% in China and under 0.2% in India, against 4% to 5% in the US. Cost has been the main barrier. JP Morgan says patent cliffs, generic launches, and policy-driven price cuts are making the drugs more affordable. It expects China to pass Brazil by 2027 and reach $13.7 billion by 2035, versus $8 billion for Brazil. India is the smallest market, held back by hesitancy around injections. Eli Lilly, which said it holds about 55% of the international incretin market, stands to gain. Its China revenue grew 93% in constant currency, and it raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $85 billion to $87 billion.
