Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in industrial environments.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accuracy and strong analytical ability.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, climb, push, pull, kneel, crouch, twist, bend, and stoop.
  • Ability to work in hot temperatures up to 32°C and cold temperatures down to -25°C.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to use power and hand tools.
Responsibilities
  • Operate automated and manual concrete batching plants efficiently.
  • Use concrete batching software such as CommandAlkon, CompoNET, or similar software.
  • Perform inventory functions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Order batching materials as required with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot problems with concrete mixes, materials, and mechanical parts of the batch unit.
  • Request mix designs from computer data files and batch concrete with specified slumps as required by production.
  • Record and maintain documentation related to daily concrete production.
  • Apply knowledge of admixtures, pigments, and water-cement ratios.
  • Train, lead, guide, and direct the work of others.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
  • Travel as required.
  • Work overtime as required.
