Associate Medical Affairs Manager
About the job
- A DVM or VMD degree is preferred; alternatively, a certified, registered, or licensed veterinary technician with a bachelor's degree may be considered.
- At least 5 years of experience in the animal health industry.
- Prior experience and demonstrated success in networking, managing, and collaborating with key opinion leaders and/or academic institutions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel overnight as needed, up to 25%.
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen, subject to applicable law.
- Act as an internal point of contact for key opinion leader activities across functions, primarily for commercial teams including sales and marketing, Corporate Affairs supporting A Different Way to CE, and Innovation as needed.
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, researchers, and industry influencers.
- Coordinate and manage key opinion leader activities, including advisory boards, speaker programs, and scientific collaborations.
- Work with the commercial medical team and product management to support cross-functional efforts with marketing and sales to develop and manage veterinary education courses and events.
- Ensure compliant, fair, balanced, and effective message delivery within educational channels, including continuing education events, webinars, and speaker programs.
- Oversee key opinion leader agreements as appropriate.
- Develop tailored engagement strategies based on key opinion leaders' interests and skills.
- Keep key opinion leaders informed about the latest product research by executing strategic communication plans and ensuring integration into their lectures and presentations.
- Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and industry events to promote its products and initiatives.
- Communicate with other departments and work within a team environment.
- Perform other assigned duties as required to meet company objectives.
- Maintain regular onsite attendance at the corporate headquarters in Lancaster, South Carolina.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and writing.
