About the job
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the animal health industry is required.
- Prior experience and demonstrated success in networking, managing, and collaborating with key opinion leaders and/or academic institutions is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and writing, are required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Ability to travel overnight as needed up to 25% is required.
- Regular attendance onsite in Lancaster, South Carolina, at Corporate Headquarters is required.
- Act as an internal cross-functional point of contact for key opinion leader activities, primarily supporting commercial, Corporate Affairs, and Innovation functions.
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, researchers, and industry influencers.
- Coordinate and manage key opinion leader activities, including advisory boards, speaker programs, and scientific collaborations.
- Work with the commercial medical team and product management to support marketing and sales efforts to develop and manage veterinary education courses and events.
- Ensure compliant, fair, balanced, and effective message delivery across continuing education events, webinars, and speaker programs.
- Oversee key opinion leader agreements as appropriate.
- Develop customized engagement strategies based on key opinion leaders' interests and skills.
- Execute strategic communication plans to keep key opinion leaders informed about the latest product research and integrate that research into their lectures and presentations.
- Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and industry events to promote products and initiatives.
- Communicate with other departments and organizational functions within a team environment.
- Perform other assigned duties required to meet company objectives.
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor degree is preferred.
- An advanced veterinary technician with a bachelor's degree and certified, registered, or licensed veterinary technician credentials may be considered.
