Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $33.83 ou/or $53.31 (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027)

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Give DGDs, maintains records, grades midterm examinations. Proctoring exams.

Minimum qualifications 

Strong understanding of Intermediate Accounting

Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback

Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently

Minimum C.G.P.A. of 7.5;

Minimum grade of A- in ADM 3340 or its equivalent;

Candidates must possess current knowledge of IFRS and Canadian ASPE relevant to ADM3340's curriculum;

Experience with online course delivery considered an asset

Experience with online videoconferencing environment considered an asset (ex. Microsoft Teams)

Relevant experience as a teaching assistant for ADM3340

Comments

Preference will be given to higher grades;

Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course

Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Telfer programs

Candidates who have not recently completed ADM3340 or its equivalent may be asked to complete a 30-questions multiple choice test,

on which they must score a minimum of 80 % in order to be shortlisted for this position;

Candidates on short list may be interviewed by course professor/coordinator.

Please note that the posted hours could be increased by 10% to 30% due to registration.

Please note, you will be required to have access to a computer, internet, microphone and webcam.

Contract hours may be reallocated among different tasks, which the professor may adjust over the course of the semester.

Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course (with the exception of official University holidays), including through the grading of the final exam and calculation of final grades by the professor.
