Requirements
  • No prior experience is required, although ski resort knowledge is helpful.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in three-day lift operation training, follow-up training, and team meetings.
  • Complete pre-operational lift checks with assistance and guidance from the Lift Maintenance department.
  • Shovel snow, pick ice, and groom ski surfaces around lifts.
  • Set up and remove signs, corrals, and other equipment to assist guests with staging, loading, and unloading.
  • Meet and greet guests.
  • Operate lifts in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Safely load and unload guests.
  • Observe guests getting on and off lifts and respond to unsafe situations.
  • Assist with crowd control and lift ticket checking.
  • Serve as a Sunday River ambassador by conversing with guests.
  • Communicate with other departments about safety issues, mechanical problems, and general inquiries.
