- Experience in outside sales, prospecting, and negotiation.
- At least 2 years of experience in telecommunications sales.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic area.
- A valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of a motor vehicle record check.
Responsibilities
- Use cold calling and prospecting techniques to identify, qualify, and initiate communication with residential communities that could benefit from new fiber internet infrastructure.
- Obtain access to communities by securing signatures on Right of Access documents and assess whether properties are suitable for fiber deployment.
- Identify the authorized party for access to private community property and coordinate with ownership, management, homeowners’ associations, builders, and land developers to present the proposal to decision-makers.
- Acquire Right-of-Access agreements for use of private easements.
- Collaborate with construction, engineering, and property owners to obtain final design approvals; educate decision-makers about Fiber-to-the-Home, address concerns, and manage the sales process.
- Target single-family unit, multi-dwelling unit, homeowners’ association, and condominium owners’ association properties using sales skills and the fiber network.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business with corporate-owned, privately owned, and board-managed communities.
- Present to communities, collaborate with anchor tenants and engineering teams, and work toward monthly sales targets.
- Develop creative sales approaches, solutions, and proposals.
- Use market information and sales aids to support recommendations and answer customer questions.
- Provide accurate reporting and feedback to contribute to sales goals and plan attainment.
- Identify business opportunities, maintain sales goals, and provide management with knowledge of competitors and suppliers.
- Educate customers and promote business solutions.
- Manage and deploy third-party door-knocking teams to increase subscriber growth within existing signed contracts.
- Build sales contracts through strategic marketing, tactical sales, and key account management.
- Use sales force automation, funnel management, and prospecting tools; manage the sales funnel and report on sales activity and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activity, including calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-ups within the assigned territory.
- Build a network through referrals, prospecting calls, industry events, and peers.
- Oversee all phases of the sales cycle and client journey to support a positive customer service process.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and customers.
- Develop new accounts and re-engage accounts where previous representatives were unsuccessful.
