- A technical certification or diploma in refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, or a related field.

- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Handle refrigerants in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Maintain accurate service logs, work orders, and compliance documentation.
- Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Experience with supermarket rack refrigeration systems and large-scale installations.
- Certification in refrigerant handling, such as Environmental Protection Agency certification or an equivalent local certification.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
- Experience with energy management systems and controls.
