Requirements
  • At least two years of direct business development and client relationship management experience, ideally in a professional services firm.
  • Ability to quickly grasp engineering and architectural professional services and relate them to clients’ needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management systems, including HubSpot, and email distribution tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while remaining detail- and quality-focused.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and develop customer engagement strategies for current and future customers, including monthly marketing and activities plans, pipeline-add goals, and annual sales goals.
  • Conduct customer engagement activities, including one-on-one meetings, client-office visits, promotional events, client learning sessions, and client entertainment events.
  • Develop client-specific sales presentations in PowerPoint describing engineering and architectural professional services.
  • Follow the company’s sales qualification process to sell projects and meet identified sales goals.
  • Attend periodic late evening or early morning events in the Dallas/Fort Worth/Austin area.
  • Attend out-of-town conferences and represent the company brand to clients and prospects when needed.
  • Interpret client needs and develop proposals using existing templates.
  • Track and manage customer contacts, interactions, and opportunities in a customer relationship management system.
  • Use customer management skills to ensure deadlines, sales targets, and cost targets are met.
  • Follow up on and secure signed sales agreements.
Desired Qualifications
  • A formal business development, client relationship, sales, or marketing qualification.
  • First-hand experience in property management, insurance, construction, restoration, architecture, or engineering fields.
