Requirements
  • A diploma in inhalotherapy is required.
  • At least two years of prior inhalotherapy experience is required.
  • Membership in the Ordre des inhalothérapeutes du Québec is required.
  • Hospital experience and neonatal and adult ventilation training are required.
  • Experience in home support and home oxygen therapy is required.
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and neonatal resuscitation program (NRP) qualifications are required.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The candidate must have advanced French-language proficiency.
  • The candidate must be flexible about working in remote regions.
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments of patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Administer inhaled treatments and prescribed medications.
  • Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory care.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
