Requirements
  • At least one year of recent experience administering chemotherapy.
  • Recent, significant experience with complex wound care and management of central venous access.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required for travel.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Safely administer intravenous chemotherapy and instillation treatments, including BCG.
  • Provide wound care ranging from minor to complex, including Jackson-Pratt drain removal, ostomy care, care for major burns, and nephrostomy care.
  • Administer intravenous treatments for chronic illnesses, including Avsolva, Entyvio, and Rituximab.
  • Use sterile techniques and handle venous access devices, including Port-a-Cath, central venous catheters, and PICC lines.
  • Administer vaccines and desensitization or hyposensitization treatments.
  • Use the facility's clinical information systems, DCI Crystal Net and Silp Softweb.
