Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and complete a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Be able to sit, squat, bend, and move through other physical positions required by the work.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Be comfortable standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Be patient and compassionate, and work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Work one-on-one with children with autism.
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
