About the job
- A bachelor's degree or commensurate experience is required.
- At least 5 years of financial-organization member- or customer-facing experience demonstrating successful sales and service is required.
- At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience is required.
- In a leadership capacity, explain or instruct clearly and concisely with direct reports, team members, and people leaders; demonstrate behaviors that support organizational values and culture and foster a cohesive, collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and an outgoing personality with a positive, friendly, and energetic attitude.
- Ability to travel to other branches within the area as necessary.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to team members, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
- Communicate goals, monitor performance, provide feedback, and execute strategies that support productivity and organizational goals.
- Build rapport and manage relationships, with the ability to teach others.
- Provide input to department leadership regarding team performance; collaborate with the department manager to create performance objectives and execute them independently.
- Interview, hire, and onboard new employees; assess and maintain appropriate staffing levels based on business needs.
- Cross-train personnel and ensure staff are informed about and able to promote products, services, promotions, and organizational initiatives.
- Lead the team in developing relationship-building skills, adding value to each interaction, and making informed product and service recommendations.
- Ensure personnel are trained in all phases of their jobs and are up to date on department and organizational procedures and policies.
- Ensure branch profitability, sustainability, compliance, and audit readiness; hold self and team accountable for achieving and exceeding production goals.
- Develop and implement ongoing action plans or roadmaps; provide departmental and organizational project support.
- Maintain awareness of the department budget and review it monthly to analyze variances and keep expenditures within limits.
- Monitor industry trends in deposit operations and propose new processes, best practices, and development activities.
- Promote an omnichannel member experience to serve members' financial needs.
