The compensation range for this role is $282,800 - $420,000.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of data scientists, orchestrating data science initiatives across our B2B go-to-market products.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, devising strategies to amplify the reach and influence of data science across our offerings. Collaborate closely with product leadership to shape optimal models and solutions, integrating data science into all product roadmaps.
- Forge robust partnerships with business and technology leaders, strategically planning and executing data science applications within quarterly and annual product roadmaps. Establish and drive measurable success criteria for data science implementations.
- Promote the significance of data science enterprise-wide by articulating a compelling vision and the real-world applications of data-driven insights.
- As a player-coach, recruit and nurture talent by collaboratively developing data science solutions alongside your team. Simultaneously, provide mentorship, coaching, and empowerment to ensure their growth and achievements.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to define requirements and construct the essential data infrastructure that facilitates efficient analytics development.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or any other related quantitative field.
- A profound mastery of Machine Learning models, with an extensive history of creating models from the ground up.
- Over a decade of hands-on experience in data science roles, demonstrating your deep understanding of the field.
- More than five years of people management experience, showcasing your ability to lead and motivate data science teams.
- A demonstrated record of tackling intricate, ambiguous data challenges at scale, highlighting your aptitude in quantitative modeling, including machine learning.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, allowing you to convey technical concepts to executives and translate business objectives for technical audiences.
- Proficiency in statistical and modeling tools, complemented by adeptness with analytics and database software.
- Ideally, you are located in the San Francisco area or open to relocation.
Areas in which you’ll be evaluated:
- Business Acumen – Proven ability to apply data science capabilities to solve practical business problems. Experience with Marketing or Ad Tech data science is desirable.
- Product Sense - Understanding of a product planning process, ablity to influence product strategies and roadmaps, strong collaboration skills.
- Data Science Expertise – 10+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist. Expert level knowledge in predictive analytics, machine learning, and data mining. Understands adjacent Big Data engineering technologies and environment.
- Data & ML Architecture – Experienced integrating data science applications into software products. Understands ML Ops (deployment/scalable infrastructure). Fluent in challenges like data access, data infrastructure, and maintenance. Has worked with data at scale and velocity.
- Mentor+Coach – A player-coach who can roll up sleeves, solve problems as a team, and facilitate the team’s success. Proven ability to attract, hire, develop, and retain exceptional talent.
