A minimum of five years of experience with installation, maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of local area networks, wide area networks, computer hardware, and software.
Experience with Linux system administration, including RPM installation and upgrades, starting, stopping, and monitoring services, and familiarity with Kickstart procedures.
Experience performing and assisting with equipment specification, setup, problem resolution, and network support related to computer hardware and software, as well as providing assistance to users.
Experience ensuring licensing agreements and system currency.
Experience with Unix administration.
Knowledge of performance tuning.
Understanding of security hardening procedures and implementation.
Experience scripting common system administrator functions.
Experience with VMware and configuring virtual machines.
