Responsibilities
Represent Van Buren County as an appointed Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.
Primarily handle matters in the 7th District Court in Paw Paw, Michigan.
Review and screen warrant requests for authorization.
Handle district court prosecutions, including formal hearings, misdemeanor pretrial conferences, misdemeanor jury and non-jury trials, felony probable cause conferences, and preliminary examinations.
Participate in a specialty treatment court when assigned.
Assist and counsel police agencies on criminal investigations and review search warrants.
Handle circuit court-level felony trials on a case-by-case basis when required.

JOB SUMMARY:Serve as assistant to the Prosecuting Attorney in representing the People of the State of Michigan in legal proceedings and prosecuting complaints at our Paw Paw office.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
Law Degree required.
Michigan Bar membership required.
Prior prosecutorial experience preferred but not required
