  • Translate field experience into product and platform improvements and work with Engineering and Product leadership to prioritize the roadmap based on deployment friction.
  • Drive accreditation and continuous Authority to Operate outcomes with the security and compliance team by producing and validating evidence against NIST 800-53, Risk Management Framework, Security Technical Implementation Guides, and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program controls.
  • Own remediation of findings from third-party assessment organization assessments and penetration tests.

Second Front Systems provides a subscription-based DevSecOps platform called Game Warden that helps U.S. government agencies and defense contractors deploy commercial software securely and compliantly. It acts as a fully managed service that handles security, operations, and ongoing compliance, and streamlines the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process so new SaaS products can be deployed faster. Unlike firms that only offer software, Second Front Systems focuses on bridging the commercial software market with national security needs by maintaining continuous updates and government-grade security across the software development lifecycle. The company’s goal is to enable rapid, secure, and compliant delivery of the latest commercial software to U.S. defense and homeland security missions.

Second Front Systems names Cody Barrow as Head of EMEA to expand defence software deployments

Second Front Systems has appointed Cody Barrow as Head of EMEA to lead commercial strategy and customer growth across the region. Barrow brings over 20 years of cybersecurity and national security experience, joining from EclecticIQ where he served as CEO. He previously held senior intelligence roles at the US Department of War and National Security Agency, and was a founding member of US Cyber Command. Second Front's platform, which is assured by the UK Ministry of Defence, NATO, and the US DoW, enables allied defence organisations to deploy trusted software in days rather than months. Recent deployments include achieving NATO Authority to Operate in 17 days and bringing Cohere's sovereign AI platform online in under two hours in the United Arab Emirates.

Second Front Systems appoints Cody Barrow as Head of EMEA.

Second Front Systems appoints Cody Barrow as Head of EMEA. Former founding member of U.S. Cyber Command brings CEO-level experience to allied growth. WASHINGTON, DC, August 13, 2026 / Business Wire / Second Front Systems (2F), a public-benefit software company powering software for the free world, today announced the appointment of Cody Barrow as Head of EMEA. Barrow will lead Second Front's commercial strategy, customer growth, and strategic partner ecosystem across the region, building on the company's expanding footprint with allied defense and national security organizations. Barrow brings more than two decades of cybersecurity and national security leadership across the United States and Europe. He joins 2F from EclecticIQ, the Amsterdam-based threat intelligence company, where he served as Chief Executive Officer and previously as Chief Strategy Officer. Earlier in his career he was a senior intelligence official at the U.S. Department of War and the National Security Agency, and a founding member of U.S. Cyber Command. He has also held leadership roles at Recorded Future and Fannie Mae. "Cody has led from both sides of this - inside the government, where the mission is on the line, and as an executive building the technology that supports it," said TJ Rowe, Chief Revenue Officer at Second Front. "Our EMEA customers are asking for more than a vendor. They want a trusted partner who understands what they are up against and can move at their pace. Cody is that, and he is stepping into a market where our proof points are already on the board." Modern conflict moves at software speed. Adversaries are not waiting on approval cycles, and allied nations no longer have the option of a delivery timeline measured in years. They are also under growing pressure to maintain sovereign control over where their data resides and who operates their software. 2F's platform is assured by the UK Ministry of Defence and NATO, giving allied defense organizations a proven route to put trusted software in operators' hands in days rather than months - without ceding sovereignty to do it. "Allied missions are increasingly software missions, and the constraint is almost never the technology - it's the time it takes to deliver it to the operator," said Barrow. "2F has already proven it can close that gap. I'm excited to scale what the team has delivered in the region: more countries, more partners, more capability in the hands of the people who need it." Recent deployments show what that looks like in practice. In May, 2F achieved an Authority to Operate for NATO UNCLASSIFIED from NATO's Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA), deploying a DIANA-developed application in 17 days. In July, 2F Frontier brought Cohere's North sovereign AI platform online aboard an Armada Galleon edge data center in the United Arab Emirates in under two hours - work that has traditionally taken months of integration. And in the UK, partnerships with Valarian and StirlingX have opened secure deployment routes for sovereign software and uncrewed systems into MOD and national security environments. Second Front Systems launches ATO accelerator for Microsoft Azure Government.

Second Front Systems launches ATO accelerator for Microsoft Azure Government. Through Game Warden, software vendors gain a repeatable route from commercial product to field capability across the government's most demanding environments. WASHINGTON, DC, July 21, 2026 / Business Wire / Second Front Systems (2F), a public-benefit software company powering software for the free world, today announced an expanded collaboration with Microsoft to help independent software vendors (ISVs) accelerate their path to Authority to Operate (ATO). Through the collaboration, ISVs gain a managed, end-to-end path to deploy production workloads on Microsoft Azure Government and other accredited Microsoft cloud environments, spanning FedRAMP and U.S. Department of War (DoW) Impact Levels (ILs), including both unclassified and classified missions. Second Front's Game Warden delivers continuous deployment, monitoring, and repeatable ATO paths for civilian, defense, and national security workloads. These are pathways that have traditionally demanded progressively more investment and preparation to enter - even as they become increasingly critical to the modern battlespace. "This collaboration gives ISVs, mission owners, and agency leaders a single path forward - each from where they stand today," said Mamie Cruse, Chief Mission Officer at Second Front. "ISVs answering the call for national competitive advantage get a clear route from civilian to classified environments. Mission owners get an accredited delivery pipeline for next-generation AI, modern DevSecOps, and commercial software at mission speed. And agency leaders get the predictability to rebuild and retrain their workforce around capabilities that are actually fielded." The announcement deepens a long-standing relationship between the two companies, extending a shared commitment to bringing private-sector speed to the public sector under growing pressure to modernize at scale and break free of legacy systems. "Building on what Game Warden has already delivered on Azure, we're going further," said Jamie Harper, Vice President, Defense Industrial Base, Microsoft." Our collaboration with Second Front helps software companies deploy mission capabilities faster on Microsoft Azure Government while reducing barriers to government adoption." By extending Game Warden across FedRAMP Class B/C/D (Low/Moderate/High), DoW IL2-IL6, and JWICS, Second Front is accelerating government access to a broader range of commercial innovation. Second Front and Cohere deploy sovereign AI in UAE in under two hours

Second Front Systems and Cohere have successfully deployed Cohere North, a sovereign AI platform, in the United Arab Emirates in under two hours. The deployment used Second Front's Frontier platform and ran on an Armada Galleon, a portable containerised edge data centre. The demonstration shows enterprise-grade sovereign AI can be rapidly deployed with full security and control, compressing a process that traditionally requires months into a single session. Cohere North allows organisations to run AI infrastructure entirely within their own borders, with data never leaving their perimeter. Second Front, a public-benefit software company, provides secure delivery platforms for government and regulated networks. Cohere, founded in 2019, has raised approximately $1.6 billion from investors including Nvidia, AMD Ventures and Salesforce Ventures. A full customer rollout is planned for later this summer.
