Prodx, Hy-Vee extend partnership around e-commerce personalization.

Prodx, Hy-Vee extend partnership around e-commerce personalization. Share via: Product data infrastructure company Prodx and Hy-Vee announced an extension of their partnership on Aug. 18. Prodx runs Hy-Vee's digital commerce experience. Prodx has structured nearly 265,000 Hy-Vee products, standardizing an average of seven attributes per SKU across more than 1,200 attribute types and 5,800 active categories. That data foundation drives buy-again suggestions, substitutions, personalization and digital merchandising across the retailer's online shopping platform. "Hy-Vee's online shopping platform truly shows what our infrastructure can do at scale," said Adam Christmann, CEO of Prodx. "Hy-Vee's relentless focus on personalization and customization combined with our product offerings transform the online experience for the customer by making shopping decisions easier and faster." How the platform works. For returning shoppers, the Purchases and Essentials experiences recreate the familiarity of a regular shopping routine, surfacing the products customers buy most and organizing them to match how they typically shop. The Predictions function anticipates what a customer is likely to need before they've searched for it, while the Substitutions experience provides alternatives when a preferred item is unavailable. Additional functions, including Recommendations, Complements, Discover, Variations and Impulses, work together to surface relevant alternatives, companion products and new items that fit into a customer's cart. The Prodx Aisles App gives Hy-Vee's team direct control over the digital merchandising experience, allowing the retailer to personalize at the individual shopper level, run A/B tests across experiences and ensure only relevant products surface in a given context. The companies said the extended partnership will continue to deepen personalization capabilities while broadening the scope of Prodx's data infrastructure work with the grocer. Hy-Vee to host back-to-school Community Food Drive.

Hy-Vee to host back-to-school Community Food Drive. Effort across the region will direct food and monetary donations to local food pantries as childhood hunger remains at an all-time high. WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (August 15, 2026) - Hy-Vee announced today that all of its stores across the region will host a Back-to-School Community Food Drive from Saturday, Aug. 15, through Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, aimed at providing direct food assistance to local communities as families prepare for the new school year. This initiative comes as hunger reaches critical levels in many of the communities Hy-Vee serves, with approximately 1 in 5 children across the nation facing food insecurity. To ensure help reaches those who need it most, each Hy-Vee store has designated a specific local food pantry or food bank to benefit from the drive, keeping donations as close to home as possible. How customers can help: * Register donations: Customers can round up their purchase totals at checkout, with proceeds going to support each store's designated local food pantry or food bank. * $5 and $10 food bags: Shoppers can purchase $5 or $10 food bags to donate actual product to those in need. * Online donations: Hy-Vee customers shopping online will also be able to make donations as part of the drive. * Donation barrels in-store: Each store will place a collection barrel next to its food bag display so customers can drop off additional food donations for their local pantry. To further support the effort, Hy-Vee will match all customer monetary donations made during the drive, up to $100,000. The Back-to-School Community Food Drive reflects Hy-Vee's ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of the communities it serves, ensuring that families have the resources they need as students head back to the classroom. Hy-Vee, Inc. is an employee-owned corporation operating more than 540 business units across nine Midwestern states with sales of more than $14 billion annually. The supermarket chain is synonymous with quality, variety, convenience, healthy lifestyles, culinary expertise and superior customer service. Hy-Vee was recently named one of the top grocery stores in America by USA TODAY. The company's more than 70,000 employees provide "A Helpful Smile in Every Aisle" to customers every day. Vee & NationsBenefits Partner to Expand Food as Medicine Across the Midwest

Vee & NationsBenefits partner to expand Food as Medicine across the Midwest. Share: NationsBenefits and Hy-Vee transform nutritional access across the Midwest through fintech-driven healthcare benefit integration. NationsBenefits(R), the leading healthcare fintech and benefits platform, today announced a strategic partnership with Hy-Vee to integrate its Basket Analyzer Service (BAS) technology across Hy-Vee's Midwestern footprint. This collaboration streamlines the way millions of members access their healthcare benefits, enabling real-time purchases of nutritious food, wellness items, and OTC products at the point of sale to better support their daily health needs. By treating the grocery store as a vital care-delivery site, the collaboration removes friction and provides a modern, technology-driven approach that meets individuals in the aisles of the stores they already trust. By bridging its healthcare fintech and adjudication with Hy-Vee's trusted retail experience, NationsBenefits, LLC is ensuring that a streamlined path to better health is available to members, regardless of their geography," said Michael Parker, Co-CEO at NationsBenefits. "This work demonstrates that managing chronic conditions can effectively start at the shelf, providing individuals with the tools required for long-term well-being." Michael Parker, Co-CEO, NationsBenefits. A clinical and Economic imperative. The expansion of the BAS platform at Hy-Vee stores arrives at a critical time for public health. Diet-related chronic conditions currently account for at least 85% of the nation's annual healthcare spending. The Midwest also continues to face unique challenges in food security; a 2026 USDA Economic Research Service report notes that while national food insecurity remains a pressing issue for 13.7% of households, rural and urban communities in the region often lack frictionless access to the nutritious resources necessary for chronic disease management. The NationsBenefits technology acts as a real-time clinical engine at the checkout counter. By validating eligible items in milliseconds, the platform eliminates the need for manual claims or out-of-pocket spending, which are common barriers to benefit access. For Hy-Vee, this integration reinforces its role as a comprehensive health destination. Members in both dense urban centers and rural communities now have a direct, automated link between their health plan benefits and the high-quality nutrition available at their local supermarket.
