Requirements
  • Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
  • Previous leadership experience within aged care or residential care.
  • Five years of strong clinical assessment, care planning, and clinical governance knowledge.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical care and achievement of positive resident outcomes.
  • Ensure care plans are developed, reviewed, and updated to reflect resident needs.
  • Monitor resident health, wellbeing, and clinical outcomes through effective care management.
  • Support multidisciplinary care planning involving residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure clinical benchmarks, infection control, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Lead, mentor, and support Registered Nurses and Allied Health team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support staff development and capability building.
  • Manage performance, conduct, and workforce issues in partnership with the Residential Manager.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and representatives.
  • Ensure families are informed and supported throughout their loved one's care journey.
  • Ensure care delivery aligns with organisational policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support documentation quality, funding compliance, and clinical reporting requirements.
  • Support AN-ACC care minutes achievement and clinical funding requirements.
  • Contribute to clinical reviews, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support best-practice clinical outcomes through education and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for residents and staff.
  • Support workplace health and safety requirements and reporting obligations.
