Requirements
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Be ASE Certified.
  • Have working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, and air-conditioning equipment.
  • Submit to a background check, DMV screening, and drug screening.
Responsibilities
  • Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning systems to specification.
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
