As an Architect within the Technical Strategy & Innovation (TS&I), you will join a world-class team that provides technical and thought leadership through focused solutions to the Customer Success & Experience organization globally. This role involves working with Splunk’s Platform portfolio of products, and acting as the SME and Trusted Advisor across Splunk’s Platform solutions, including Splunk Enterprise Core and Splunk Cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with leading experts to co-develop innovative strategies that redefine how customers manage, monitor, and analyze their infrastructure, applications, and business services
- Partner with multi-functional teams, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Enablement, Education, and Support to improve product offerings and service delivery
- Maintain consistent engagement with all organizational levels, from executive leadership (C-suite) to technical staff (developers and Site Reliability Engineers), ensuring strategic alignment and operational execution
- Serve as a thought leader in architecting innovative solutions to sophisticated technical and business challenges involving multiple stakeholder groups
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring solutions meet immediate requirements and align with long-term strategic goals
- Collaborate closely with Splunk’s product and technical teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs and influence product improvements based on customer feedback
- Commit to continuous professional development to keep abreast of the latest Splunk products, technological advancements, and industry best practices
- Foster a culture of teamwork, ensuring a two-way flow of relevant and timely information across the organization for efficient resource deployment
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in technical consulting or sales engineering
- Proven experience with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Cloud in large scale and highly distributed architectures
- Demonstrated ability with Cloud providers: AWS, AZURE, or GCP
- Splunk Certified Core Consultant Certification
- Demonstrated ability to support customer-facing multi-tenant infrastructure (SaaS) or similar cloud-related services
- Experience with virtualization technologies
- Experience with both the Unix and Windows operating systems; comfortable with the command line interface
- Experience developing technical documentation to include architecture diagrams, user guides, white papers or product manuals
- Solid understanding or recent experience with scripting languages (bash), application development (java, python, .NET), databases, and analytical tools
- Experience with automation/orchestration tools, at least two of the following: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform
- Strong track record of aligning stakeholders by influencing without authority
- Highly collaborative teammate that flourishes with a hard-working, innovative team
- Well organized and ability to meet SLAs and ambitious target dates!
- Familiarity with Agile work management and/or the ability to effectively communicate sophisticated processes within and across teams
- Self-motivated, independent and self-educating, yet willing to stop, collaborate and listen with partner community and fellow Splunkers!
- Willingness to travel (remote position)
