Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • The employee must be able to learn, carry out, and become certified in CPI physical interventions and de-escalation techniques.
  • The employee must be able to learn, carry out, and become certified in CPR and first aid.
  • Driving is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide awake overnight supervision and support to youth ages 12–18.
  • Ensure the overall safety and security of youth within the residential program.
  • Conduct routine wellness and safety checks throughout the overnight shift.
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive environment.
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral concerns, emergencies, and crisis situations.
  • Provide support and guidance to youth throughout the night.
  • Follow established program routines, policies, and safety procedures.
  • Complete shift logs, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate relevant information to incoming staff to support continuity of care.
  • Serve as a positive role model while treating youth with dignity, respect, and fairness.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of experience working with adolescents is preferred but not required.
  • Residential experience is preferred.
  • Experience with systems such as the Department of Mental Health and Department of Children and Families is preferred.
  • Additional languages are desirable but not required.
