Responsibilities
Check email, text messages, and Slack for internal conversations, including retreat-related guest requests, maintenance needs, housekeeping needs, and landscaping needs.
Learn the lodging and venue facilities and clearly explain how retreat leaders can use the amenities for their specific needs.
Serve as a concierge for retreat leaders by creatively helping plan, organize, and execute retreats and programs from start to finish.
Cultivate relationships with top retreat accounts and organizations across Hawaii and the mainland as part of active sales.
Explore, cultivate, and grow relationships with retreat groups and teachers locally, nationally, and internationally to create partnerships and expand business, including through cold-call sales prospecting.
Provide customer support to retreat leaders and follow up on website and telephone inquiries within 24 hours according to the lead follow-up process.
Execute and support operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals and quotes, writing contracts, corresponding with customers, and performing accounting functions in the Retreat Guru property management system.
Add charges to guest statements, take payments, move transactions, perform final reconciliation, and update the tracking spreadsheet.
Conduct property tours for potential retreat leaders and answer questions about lodging and venue facilities.
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other support staff to ensure rooms and property are ready to a high service standard.
Conduct pre-retreat meetings with department heads to review retreat specifications and coordinate preparation for welcoming groups.
Support guest services during retreat check-in, including registration forms and group orientation tours.
Administer processes to ensure retreat leader satisfaction, manage the retreat evaluation process, respond to concerns, solicit feedback, and support the leader-staff interface.
Retreat Sales Executive at Hale Akua Garden Farm & Eco Retreat Center ensures guests receive the best service possible from the property. You provide guests with their requested room, address their needs, and resolve any complaints they may have throughout their stay. As part of the sales team you are responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active and reactive sales, telemarketing, appointment calls and property tours of the retreat center. Also develops strategic action plans for Hale Akua to drive measurable, incremental retreat sales revenue.

$25-27 per hour (Salary as per experience. Paid Time Off - Includes sick days. Use of salt water pool, hot tub and sauna facilities after work hours when not busy with guests. Good performance related bonuses too. Opportunities for staff who teach their own classes are available in our yoga room when it is not booked by guests.
