About the Job

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, with expertise in one or more of system integration and validation, power electronics, embedded device communication (GPIO, I2C, UART, SPI, USB), analog design, signal and power integrity, or sensor integration.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, validation, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and constraint-driven PCB layout using Cadence or equivalent tools.
  • 1–3+ years of experience designing hardware for mass-produced products with form factor and integration constraints.
  • Experience integrating sensors or noise-sensitive circuitry into designs.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Design and validate electrical subsystems that combine performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Own electrical engineering deliverables from schematic capture to hardware bring-up, ensuring devices can withstand real-world operational demands and scale into mass production.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven ability to drive hardware design efforts in a technical lead capacity.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage projects independently.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.

About the Company

Rivet Industries

Manufactures military-grade AR glasses and tools

Rivet Industries builds mobile, connected toolsets for industrial and defense users, with its flagship Hard Spec line of military-grade AR glasses. The glasses are a modular body-borne system that combines display optics, sensors, onboard computing, and wireless communications to show real-time maps, drone feeds, and other data in the wearer’s field of view, along with cameras, recording, AI translation, and voice assistants. It stands out by drawing leadership from Palantir and Microsoft’s HoloLens/IVAS programs, delivering defense-grade, modular AR hardware aimed at both military and industrial customers and pursuing large defense contracts. Its goal is to equip soldiers and frontline workers with integrated AR tools that speed and improve decision-making, win major defense programs such as Soldier Borne Mission Command, and expand into industrial applications with reliable, field-ready systems.
