Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor pricing through pre- and post-bid strategies, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain subcontractor relationships.
  • Use AutoCAD for casting bed and crane layouts, and evaluate site conditions to recommend suitable equipment such as cranes and pumps.
  • Conduct pre-project inspections, verify site layout details, and contribute to estimating during the pre-bid and post-construction phases.
  • Manage concrete procurement from end to end, including specification review, quality control, operational support, and post-project analysis.
  • Manage project material submittals, approvals, and lead times with the Project Coordinator to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Manage subcontractors by ensuring performance aligns with project timelines and quality standards while promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate crane operations, including scheduling and communication with the superintendent, to support efficient project execution.
  • Travel to project sites for preconstruction meetings, quality control, and safety inspections.
  • Manage project costs, including initial budgeting, invoice evaluation, expense tracking, and monthly project billings.
  • Assist with project closeout meetings, including documentation review, final approvals, and project handover to clients.
  • Support the project team in executing detailed pre-job planning.
  • Work with the superintendent to manage the construction schedule and provide weekly schedule updates to the project manager.
