About the company

ONEOK runs pipelines, processing plants, fractionators and storage that move natural gas, natural gas liquids, refined products and crude oil for energy producers and buyers across the United States. Its system runs from the wellhead to Gulf Coast export docks, so it handles gas from the moment it leaves a well until the products reach customers. Producers send raw gas to its plants, where ONEOK strips out liquids such as ethane and propane, separates them, and ships them to refiners, chemical makers and overseas buyers. Most of its income comes from fees for gathering, processing, transport and storage rather than from selling commodities. It was founded in 1906 as Oklahoma Natural Gas and is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

What believers are saying

  • Permian expansion is underway: the $4.425 billion Brazos purchase, signed August 2026, more than doubles Midland processing capacity.
  • Graduates get a dedicated entry path: ONEOK runs an Early Career and Internships program with its own hiring track.
  • Its fuel pipelines add a second growth engine: refined products volumes rose 8%, and Greater Denver expansion finished August 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Stock grants have lagged: ONEOK shares fell 27% in 2025 as long-term debt reached $32 billion by September 2025.
  • Expect constant integration work: three large midstream purchases since 2023 brought added employee and integration costs.
  • Apollo now shares the cash flow: its $9 billion nonvoting stake, agreed August 2026, collects distributions capped at 7% returns.

What makes ONEOK unique

  • It joins two major gas liquids hubs: its pipelines connect Conway, Kansas, with Mont Belvieu, Texas, on the Gulf Coast.
  • Fuel and crude pipelines carry real weight: that segment brought in $13 billion of ONEOK's $38.6 billion 2025 revenue.
  • Its oil business reaches Houston: the Longhorn pipeline brings Permian crude to its East Houston trading hub.

ONEOK & Urologic Specialists of Oklahoma hit with lawsuits over alleged data breaches. by Burt Mummolo Thu, October 29, 2026 at 7:49 PM 00:00 02:55 ONEOK & Urologic Specialists of Oklahoma hit with lawsuits over alleged data breaches (KTUL/Mummolo). In a class action lawsuit, a former employee of ONEOK claims the company failed to protect highly sensitive data. Stating that that "On or around October 16, 2026, Defendant was hacked in the Data Breach" by a group called Redact, and that "...Redact maintains a Data Leak Site on the Dark Web where it publishes stolen data in order to pressure organizations that were subject to a data breach." The lawsuit says the types of data could include names, addresses, SS numbers, date of birth, financial info, and that "Redact has reportedly leaked 67.5 GB of sensitive data." "Before this data breach, its employees' private information was exactly that - private. Not anymore. Now their private information is forever exposed and unsecure," says the lawsuit. Ktul, Llc reached out to ONEOK who told Ktul, Llc, "Unauthorized activity affected limited data accessed from a very small number of cloud-based user accounts. Upon discovery, we promptly contained the activity, secured the affected accounts, notified federal law enforcement and began our investigation alongside leading, third-party cybersecurity experts. The incident has been resolved and there were no business or operational impacts. Fewer than 70 people were affected and all were notified. We take the safeguarding of our information and systems seriously and remain committed to maintaining the security of both." - ONEOK Meanwhile, also hit with a similar lawsuit, Urologic Specialists of Oklahoma. "Defendant lost control over the Private Information of its patients when cybercriminals infiltrated its insufficiently protected computer system in a data breach" by a group called Everest to the tune of 200 gigabytes, says the suit. The lawsuit says it happened on October 22. The number of people impacted? Unclear says the lawsuit. Urologic Specialists told Ktul, Llc, "Protecting the security and privacy of personal information is of the utmost importance of Urologic Specialists of Oklahoma. We became aware of a network security incident that caused a temporary disruption to some of our systems. We worked with third party experts to restore all operations safely and securely. Looking forward, we have no reason to believe that this incident will cause downtime or disrupt patient care. Urologic Specialists of Oklahoma apologies for the concern and inconvenience this matter causes and will issue updates regarding this matter to the community as appropriate." - Urologic Specialists The lawsuits were filed by the same attorney, although the plaintiffs are different. Ktul, Llc reached out to the lawyer who told Ktul, Llc no comment due to pending litigation. SPONSORED CONTENT MORE TO EXPLORE

Enterprise Products vs. ONEOK: 6.1% yield could pay $1,984 more over 10 years

Enterprise Products Partners would pay income investors more than ONEOK over the next 10 years, according to a TIKR comparison of the two pipeline companies. Enterprise yields 6.1% against ONEOK's 4.9%. At those rates, $10,000 invested in Enterprise would pay about $7,338 over a decade, versus about $5,354 for ONEOK, assuming each grows its payout at its five-year rate. ONEOK has the wider cushion. Its distributable cash flow covered its dividend 2.25x in fiscal 2025, against 1.69x at Enterprise, though ONEOK carries more debt. Even at ONEOK's faster current dividend growth of 4.0%, Enterprise would still pay about $1,207 more over 10 years. ONEOK's next dividend announcement is the one to watch.
