- A minimum of a high school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or technical school education is required.
- Related experience working with at-risk youth or youth with mental health or special needs is required.
- Access to private transportation is required.
- A valid New York State driver's license is required.
- The ability to telecommute is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.
- Work experience within a collaborative team environment is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Assist children and youth in developing and applying skills in natural settings.
- Provide planned and crisis respite services.
- Assist with building developmentally appropriate skills to promote personal and community competence.
- Increase clients' social and interpersonal skills.
- Provide services to clients individually and in groups within the community.
- Provide services during daytime hours, weekdays, and weekends as assigned.
- Work with clients in settings including their homes, social environments, workplaces, schools, and the agency facility.
- Deliver and properly document services in accordance with Medicaid billing requirements and agency standards.
- Collaborate with service providers involved in the established treatment plan and ongoing client care planning.
- Demonstrate cultural competence and apply trauma-informed practice in daily responsibilities.
- Attend weekly supervision meetings with the direct supervisor.
- Participate in mandatory and recommended training programs.
