Fortinet launches Calgary cybersecurity hub to boost local defense. The facility spans eight stories across 122,000 square feet, having been acquired in September 2024. It will house a cloud point of presence, a cybersecurity community hub, a customer experience centre, and a training facility. The new hub integrates a cloud connectivity node, a cybersecurity collaboration space, a customer engagement center, and interactive training labs. This initiative responds to rising demand for region-specific security solutions, especially as government and corporate clients focus on safeguarding operational technology and essential systems. The location also addresses Alberta's data residency rules by hosting security operations nearer to local clients. The customer experience center will operate as an interactive workspace where clients, partners, and industry experts can collaborate directly with Fortinet's security specialists. The training facility will deliver targeted education, including advanced workshops for cybersecurity professionals and security awareness programs for organizations.
