Requirements
  • A four-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Business Management, Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field applicable to the job function.
  • At least two years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Experience presenting to large groups.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics and management principles.
  • Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for schedule, inventory, and logistics performance and for assessing program, administrative, and management effectiveness.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English communication.
  • Ability to use a computer to communicate via email.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial quality control plans.
  • Knowledge of or experience with drafting services and Computer Aided Engineering Graphics support, engineering drawing preparation and maintenance, and maintaining an online engineering library.
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain required security clearances to protect confidentiality.
  • Completion of required training and proficiency with FAA National Airspace System systems and equipment, support documentation, and work processes.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, estimate, and coordinate assigned logistics tasks.
  • Develop solutions for infrastructure support management, logistics deployment, acquisition planning, life cycle management, data analysis, research studies, material staging, installation of material and equipment, electronic repair and testing, and precision equipment calibration.
  • Support Engineering and Manufacturing Repair Services by contributing technical solutions through engineering and manufacturing repair facilities.
  • Manage and track material and equipment for nationwide distribution, relocation, transportation, and delivery.
  • Manage multiple types of shipments and direct personnel on associated tasks.
  • Evaluate initial provisioning and supply support criteria and data and analyze their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Determine appropriate stock and repair levels using Repair Level Analysis and Spares Quantification.
  • Review supply-support programs and forecasting methods and recommend adjustments to meet supply-support needs.
  • Analyze information and statistics for selected agency systems and propose resolutions aligned with stated goals and objectives.
  • Assist inventory managers by gathering historical demand rates, failure rates, and other support requirements.
  • Evaluate plans for supporting new systems and continuing support for obsolete or non-procurable systems and equipment.
  • Support material workflow requirements for maintenance, repair, and overhaul objectives in the supply chain.
  • Analyze programs, costs, current and forecast budgets, operational reports and schedules, production and procurement lead times, and report results and conclusions.
  • Evaluate non-catalog support systems with inventory managers and equipment specialists.
  • Perform complex logistics analyses and studies of proposed program plans.
  • Analyze logistics data and documentation and provide recommendations for support or improvement.
  • Meet on-time deliverables, including program-cost and scheduling requirements.
  • Prioritize daily workloads.
  • Communicate directly with internal and external customers.
  • Capture and record performance metrics.
  • Maintain training records.
  • Evaluate cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Provide logistics expertise in supply support, support equipment, maintenance support facilities, and Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation.
  • Maintain engineering drawing copies, computer databases, FAA specifications, electronic equipment modifications, National Stock Number files, and FAA equipment modification publications.
  • Provide engineering library research assistance.
  • Participate in online direct acquisition of materials and supplies.

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma quality-improvement methodology and techniques.

  • Experience with project management.
