Huawei launches Watch D3 blood pressure monitor at ISH-ECS 2026 and sets up research fund

Huawei showcased its HUAWEI WATCH D3 blood pressure smartwatch at the International Society of Hypertension and Emirates Cardiac Society conference, held in Dubai from October 22 to 25, 2026. The third-generation device uses ultra-narrow airbag oscillometric technology. Its new mode measures blood pressure before and after exercise, and is the first of its kind to receive EU CE certification under the Medical Device Regulation and Class II medical device registration in China. Huawei also set up a Wearable Blood Pressure Technology Innovation Fund with the ISH. The first three projects were chosen from more than 80 applications. A study with Ruijin Hospital aims to cut cuff-based measurements during ambulatory monitoring from 27 to seven.

Huawei Technologies has secured a loan of CNY 15 billion ($2.25 billion) from Chinese banks, according to a person familiar with the matter. The loan comes as the company's spending on chips for artificial intelligence projects soars.

Huawei launches 3 + 1 AI Data Platform, lifting AI inference throughput 2.2x in Europe summit

Huawei launched what it calls the industry's first "3 + 1 AI Data Platform Solution" at its Data Storage Summit in Florence, Italy, on October 20, 2026. The platform combines a knowledge base, key-value (KV) cache store, memory bank, and Unified Cache Manager (UCM) for AI inference. Yuan Yuan, president of Huawei's Data Storage Product Line, said AI has entered a stage in which data is the key to success. The solution is already used in more than 20 key service scenarios. A leading hospital raised adoption of AI-assisted diagnosis reports from 50% to 90%. A major internet company improved inference throughput by a factor of 2.2, and a large bank lifted customer satisfaction by 16%. Huawei plans to open the platform to more models and applications.

Huawei launches upgraded Stellar Intelligent Fabric for Europe's open data centre networks

Huawei has launched an upgraded Stellar Intelligent Fabric for the European market, unveiling it at the Huawei Network Summit 2026 Europe in Florence, Italy, on October 19, 2026. The company says the data center network solution offers better intelligence, performance, and reliability. Huawei also introduced the Stellar Intelligent Ultra-Resilient Fabric, which is powered by StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 and Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0. Johnny Cheng, vice president of Huawei's Data Center Network Domain, said it removes single points of failure and protects critical workloads. Turkish IT firm KoçSistem used the technology to deploy a multi-DC topology. Mesut ÖZCA, a leader solutions manager there, said multi-plane networking keeps compute services online during localised hardware failures. Huawei says it will deepen partnerships across Europe under its "In Europe, For Europe" commitment.

Huawei and global industry organizations have released a technical and standard white paper for high-quality 10 Gbps intelligent campus networks.
