About the job
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related curriculum is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Five years of experience in the specific technical discipline, or 10 years of broad engineering experience across several technical disciplines with a bachelor's degree, is required.
- Experience credit for related advanced degrees is limited to two years for a master's degree and four years for a PhD in fields applicable to the job.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and performance of design, analysis, and liaison engineering supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.
- Contribute to planning, developing, and coordinating important engineering projects.
- Provide specialized technical assistance to team members.
- Use advanced techniques and modified extensions of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
- Determine and develop an approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
- Work under limited supervision, with review primarily for accuracy and consistency with overall objectives.
- Act as a liaison with representatives outside the assigned group or area.
- Actively work to improve daily processes and ensure all work meets customer requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in the specialty and related aircraft fields to recommend innovations that improve the quality and effectiveness of company products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- An advanced degree in an engineering-related field is preferred.
- Technical skills and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by the relevant discipline.
