Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent
- 10+ years of product compliance management within the apparel industry
- Strong knowledge of international product and packaging regulations, standards, and testing protocols
- Knowledge of material characteristics construction techniques and production processes
- Knowledge of industry testing methods/Standards (SATRA, ISO, AATCC, ASTM, etc.)
- Understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Detail oriented, analytical and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global product compliance strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives and values
- Stay up to date with relevant international regulations, standards, and industry best practices
- Drive cross-functional projects to enhance or develop new global products and packaging compliance needs
- Own the start-to-end processes for product testing & Labeling across all product categories
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements throughout the product development lifecycle
- Lead efforts to identify, interpret and assess global product compliance regulations
- Monitor and track changes in regulations and standards
- Implement and manage testing and labeling compliance programs with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors
- Ensure product compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all target markets
- Develop and efficiently manage third-party testing and packaging protocols and database
- Maintain a sound understanding of applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations
- Support updating vendor manual requirements for product testing and labeling
- Identify specific product compliance priorities for the company and plan activities based on risk
- Assist in updating product compliance policies, procedures, and resources
- Prepare regular compliance program briefings
