Requirements
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within an automotive environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, and core quality tools including Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP.
  • Proven experience leading internal and external audits, including customer and certification body audits.
  • Hands-on experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software tools such as Statistical Process Control or Quality Management System platforms.
  • Valid work authorization in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA standards.
  • Lead and plan internal audits and coordinate external audits, including customer and certification body audits.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues and manage complaint resolution using 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis methods.
  • Monitor customer scorecards, drive improvement plans as needed, and report monthly to management.
  • Lead or support supplier evaluations and audits, and manage supplier non-conformances and corrective actions in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor in-process quality controls and implement process adjustments to maintain product standards.
  • Lead the development and approval of Control Plans, FMEAs, and PPAP submissions.
  • Support new product launches from a quality assurance perspective.
  • Track quality KPIs, including scrap rates, rework, PPM, and internal and external defect rates, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Implement Statistical Process Control and Measurement Systems Analysis according to customer requirements.
  • Manage and develop quality team members, and conduct quality training sessions for inspectors, technicians, staff across operations and logistics, and new employees during onboarding.
  • Identify potential quality risks and recommend preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Create or update instructions, procedures, and visual forms across the plant for all departments.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience in an international company.
