Requirements
  • Three years of relevant CNC experience.
  • The ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions.
  • The ability to write, edit, and modify advanced CNC program options.
  • Intermediate mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, and computer skills.
  • Deep knowledge of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing programs and G and M codes.
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • The ability to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • The ability to wear required personal protective equipment in mandatory areas.
Responsibilities
  • Perform complex, multi-axis CNC machinery setup by downloading or adjusting preset programs or creating complex new programs on a variety of CNC equipment.
  • Operate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce acceptable products according to work instructions.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to determine machine setup and production methods.
  • Inspect parts for defects as part of in-process inspection, record results, adjust programs, or notify the appropriate person of deviations when needed.
  • Perform machine adjustments such as offsets and setting tapers.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance, such as changing coolants and filters.
  • Clean the work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Train incoming CNC setup personnel on processes and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Vocational or technical certification is preferred.
  • Five years of CNC experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
