Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of public education and outreach programs for targeted populations.
  • Plan promotional, educational, and other events to increase community awareness.
  • Develop a network and database of community contacts, agencies, and services.
  • Research and prepare reports, records, and documentation to coordinate and implement public and outreach programs.
  • Develop creative strategies to communicate awareness of outreach programs.
  • Respond to public inquiries about programs.
  • Train personnel to carry out public education and outreach programs.
  • Distribute educational literature and promotional materials.
  • Document daily outreach activities and the number of contacts reached or served.
  • Maintain communication with current and prospective clients to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
  • Promote services offered to targeted groups.
  • Organize, promote, and deliver public outreach and educational events.
  • Serve as the primary driver for three mobile units, ensuring safe and timely transportation for outreach events and supporting mobile unit operations.
  • Maintain vehicle logs and safety checklists and coordinate with fleet services for maintenance.
  • Develop outreach contacts and support grant-related data collection and reporting.
  • Transport supplies, set up event infrastructure, and manage mobile unit logistics.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to align activities with grant requirements.
  • Maintain records of outreach activity, participation, and vehicle use.
  • Support event planning, including location scouting and community partnerships.
  • Coordinate specimen drop-off, pick-up of results, and sorting of results.
  • Coordinate supply pickups for the Florida Department of Health and other organizations.
  • Represent the organization at health fairs, community meetings, and other public events and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Schedule outreach visits and assist with data collection.
  • Assist with client intake, surveys, and basic program support during mobile events.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
