Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience is required.
- CPA experience is preferred, along with thorough knowledge of GAAP financial reporting, payroll, sales tax, internal audit and controls, accounts receivable and collections, accounts payable and cash flow, and merchant accounts.
- Experience accounting for multiple related companies, multiple divisions or departments, and consolidations is required.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems is required.
- Advanced to expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.
- The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form is required.
- A valid and verifiable driver's license and record is required, along with the ability to fulfill Company Fleet Policy requirements.
- The ability to pass background checks, drug screening, training, and safety clearances is required.
Responsibilities
- Report to the President while managing a small staff.
- Serve as a resource to the company's operations, customers, and vendors for entities across multiple states.
- Perform strategic planning, monthly forecasting, and annual budgeting.
- Handle day-to-day accounting functions as needed.
- Collaborate effectively across all functional areas of the company.
- Support continuous improvement and the company's values and mission.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CPA-related work and thorough knowledge of GAAP financial reporting, payroll, sales tax, internal audit and controls, accounts receivable and collections, accounts payable and cash flow, and merchant accounts.
- A background in industrial distribution and/or manufacturing.
- Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) software.
