About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduation from an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology is required.
- ARRT registration and a New York State Department of Health radiology license are required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required, with American Heart Association certification accepted only.
- Perform a variety of clinical and research procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Produce and evaluate computed tomography images for technical quality; correctly identify images and patients; and apply judgment to protocols and procedures.
- Oversee medication-related processes, including documentation of contrast media delivery.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures and Joint Commission and regulatory agency requirements.
- A computed tomography certificate is preferred.
- Knowledge and work experience in computed tomography are preferred.
