About the job

Requirements
  • Track record of driving adoption of significant change programmes in complex, multi-site organisations.
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholder relationships and competing priorities across business units simultaneously.
  • Background in business transformation, change management, or senior commercial/operational roles with meaningful change exposure or management consulting with relevant transformation experience.
  • Used to getting things done through people who don't report to you.
  • A genuine, hands-on user of Artificial Intelligence in a professional context — credible, curious, and up to date.
  • Understands the realities of running a Business Unit: Commercial pressures, imperfect systems, limited bandwidth. Practitioner mindset.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken); additional European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel - occasional business trips, primarily within Europe but not exclusively.
Responsibilities

  • Translate priorities into actionable roadmaps and help teams build the business cases to move forward.

  • Implementation Support: Act as the practical implementation partner when BUs are using AI tools and workflows to drive their AI initiatives from conception to deployment.
  • Guide and advise Business Units on cost efficient tool utilisation and synergy creation across the Group.
  • Identify and remove blockers — process friction, data gaps, change resistance — to keep projects moving from pilot to production.
  • Run AI pilots designed to generate transferable learnings and scalable outcomes.
  • Capability Building: Support BU’s AI Champions day-to-day with guidance, escalation paths, and access to Modaxo AI Center of Excellence resources.
  • Run practical trainings — especially prompt crafting and real-world AI use — to build skills at team level.
  • Help BU AI Champions grow into confident, independent leads so BUs don't rely on central support for every question.
  • Group Leader Partnership: Maintain a live group AI roadmap to define key themes and initiatives to be rolled out across all BUs.
  • Keep the Group Leader informed on progress, blockers, and decisions that need their input.
  • Make AI adoption a visible part of normal operational performance conversations.
  • Define AI Governance approach for the Group.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a multi-business group or divisional structure.
  • Familiarity with AI adoption or change frameworks (ADKAR, Kotter, etc.).
  • Modaxo or sector-relevant background.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • On May 21, 2026, Modaxo agreed to buy Conduent's public transit business for $164 million.
  • Aerivo joined Modaxo on March 3, 2026, adding airport terminal operations software.
  • On April 28, 2026, Trapeze ANZ won Transport for NSW's Opal Next Generation bus project.

What critics are saying

  • The Conduent transit deal still needs closing conditions, leaving execution exposed through 2026.
  • Trapeze Europe's February 2026 rebrand fragments product families and risks customer confusion.
  • A failed integration of Conduent, Aerivo, and SISCOG would destroy Modaxo's roll-up economics.

What makes Modaxo unique

  • Modaxo bundles transit, rail, aviation, curbside, and enforcement software under one ownership model.
  • Its 2026 brand spinoffs, like Trellint and Elovate, preserve niche customer-facing identities.
  • Constellation Software backing gives Modaxo acquisition capital and disciplined operating playbooks.
