  • Technically full-stack with Python backend and TypeScript or JavaScript frontend.
  • Experience with AI tools and opinions on how to use AI to leverage work; comfortable picking up new infrastructure and data tools when needed.
  • Understanding of GTM teams, lead scoring, and attribution; familiarity with business problems underlying technical solutions.
  • Ability to build trust across Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Leadership; low ego and genuine curiosity.
  • Located in the United States (Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific Time).
Responsibilities
  • Build AI-powered internal tools from scratch including lead scoring models, Slack bots that answer business questions against live data, and agents that generate business reviews and surface insights without a human analyst.
  • Ship automation to fix bottlenecks in Sales and Marketing workflows; scope fixes and build them.
  • Work across the GTM stack (Segment, Customer.io, Close, data warehouse) and make connections clean and well-documented.
  • Build experimentation and growth infrastructure to enable testing, measure impact, and scale acquisition without engineering bottlenecks.
  • Define the structure and roadmap of the AI Systems function at Close, identifying where engineering leverage is highest.
