Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited dermatology residency program.
  • Completion of an accredited Mohs Micrographic Surgery fellowship.
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Dermatology.
  • Eligibility for or certification in Mohs Micrographic Surgery as applicable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure.
  • DEA registration or eligibility.
  • Expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology.
  • Proficiency in dermatologic surgery and reconstruction techniques.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during surgical procedures.
  • Manual dexterity for fine surgical and histologic techniques.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for microscopic slide interpretation and surgical precision.
  • Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
  • Must be legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota, depending on the location of the practice to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage patients with cutaneous malignancies, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma in situ.
  • Perform Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancers in accordance with established clinical standards.
  • Interpret histopathologic slides during Mohs procedures.
  • Perform surgical reconstruction and repair following Mohs excision.
  • Provide longitudinal dermatologic care and postoperative follow-up.
  • Collaborate with general dermatologists, plastic surgeons, ENT surgeons, and oncologists as appropriate.
  • Educate patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedural expectations, and preventive skin care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives.
  • Supervise and educate fellows, residents, nursing staff, and clinical support personnel as applicable.
  • Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.
