Position Summary and Key Responsibilities
A Bindery Operator (bookbinder) is responsible for setting up and operating industrial bindery equipment to produce quality finished products and will perform the following:
Set-up and operate bookbinding equipment related to cutting, collating, folding, stitching, and stamping.
Adjust machinery to ensure efficient operation and quality finishing is maintained.
Review job orders to determine production time and quantities required.
Various other duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Fluent in English (speak, read, write)
Able to obtain (in a timely manner) and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) security clearance
Ability to perform physical activities associated with the position, such as standing, walking, bending, lifting/lowering up to 75lbs
Ability to work all shift schedules including days, nights, evenings, and overtime as required
High likelihood that this will be a night shift position (3 nights on/4 nights off)
7.5% wage premium for night shift
Candidates must have:
3+ years of relevant experience working in a bindery environment.
