At Mercury, we’re looking for a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to help us achieve our ambitious goals in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Productivity. What You’ll Do:
- Optimize Production: Review schedules, specs, and process flows to enhance our manufacturing methods.
- Troubleshoot & Innovate: Engage in production activities, solving equipment issues and minimizing downtime.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean tools to support our goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Production.
- Document & Design: Develop process documentation and design efficient layouts using CAD software.
- Collaborate & Solve: Work with internal and external customers and suppliers to tackle challenges.
- Lead & Mentor: Coach peers and act as a subject matter expert on specific processes.
What You Bring:
- Technical Expertise: Apply industry-standard practices and manipulate data to drive improvements.
- Tooling Knowledge: Understand tooling, fixtures, and gauge design in a manufacturing setting.
- Blueprint Savvy: Read and interpret blueprints and industry standards.
- Communication Skills: Lead cross-functional teams with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Devise new approaches to complex problems and design innovative systems.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office, SPC Excel, and other analysis tools.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- Lean Manufacturing: Proficient in Lean tools and strategies.
- Software Skills: Knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma: Green or Black Belt certification.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-Motivated: Capable of working independently and meeting deadlines.
