Requirements
  • At least 5 years of work experience to qualify for the role, with 7 years required to be fully proficient.
  • Experience working with healthcare accounts.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive direct sales support for one or more Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Function as the lead for an inside sales account team, mentoring, monitoring, quarterbacking, and delegating support tasks to a client operations team.
  • Manage client support, generate client demand, identify opportunities for new solutions and lines of business, maximize margins, promote self-service, and support attainment of team revenue and gross profit quotas.
  • Communicate the complete enterprise value proposition, demonstrate the MarkITplace platform, and explain its value to clients.
  • Manage the daily flow of a client's business and coordinate support efforts to provide timely and accurate responses.
  • Perform scheduled daily proactive sales cycles to identify net-new solutions.
  • Ensure departmental processes comply with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls where applicable.
  • Manage and grow velocity product lines within the existing client base to achieve assigned monthly or quarterly revenue and gross profit goals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of velocity product lines, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, low-end servers, peripherals, printers and scanners, supplies, monitors and displays, accessories, and other software.
  • Delegate and inspect velocity proposals under $25,000 and follow up on associated client quotes.
  • Own proposals over $25,000 by ensuring pricing accuracy, project management, original equipment manufacturer deal registrations, and Salesforce activity logging.
  • Establish, build, and maintain strategic relationships with clients, original equipment manufacturer sales teams, and distribution partners.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present client activity reports.
  • Record and proactively update qualifying projects in Salesforce, using the Quote to Opportunity feature for client quotes over $100,000 and logging next steps and follow-up actions.
  • Provide complex solution proposals requiring technical configuration support.
  • Provide customer quotes and follow up on opportunities.
  • Maintain a four-hour customer response time for requests.
  • Proactively manage software renewal quotes by identifying and strategizing them with the Enterprise Account Executive and sending them to clients at least 30 days before renewal.
  • Work with Inside Sales Support to process orders accurately and timely to meet customer shipment service-level expectations.
  • Escalate orders and provide overflow assistance for order entry and pricing verification.
  • Support the open-order management process for complex orders.
  • Provide return merchandise authorization escalation assistance to the Inside Sales Support team.
  • Manage daily team communications with customers, manufacturer partners, and suppliers.
  • Work with the Enterprise Account Executive to define and maintain pricing strategies that provide competitive discounts while maximizing margins.
  • Use smart sourcing initiatives, contractual limitations, partner programs, customer bid and deal-registration submissions, and account reviews to maximize gross profit and attain account strategies.
  • Create, maintain, and manage customer standards and catalogs with the Inside Sales Support team.
  • Provide self-service customer training and MarkITplace demonstrations via Webex, including sourcing, quote and order management, special price monitoring, product search, reporting, license and renewal management, process improvement, and return merchandise authorization capabilities.
  • Identify net-new opportunities through spend analysis, standards management reviews, customer whitespace analysis, cross-selling and upselling strategies, and proactive calls with original equipment manufacturer and internal business development resources.
  • Manage overall daily team operations, customer satisfaction, and relationships with customers and partners.
  • Make proactive Salesforce entries each day for each supported Enterprise Account Executive, focused on new lines of business, strategic project calls, strategic original equipment manufacturer calls, and prospecting calls.
  • Use Cloud:59 at the required minimum monthly login frequency and publish at least two video posts per quarter.
  • Meet minimum Sales Management expectations for quarterly sales promotions and campaigns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High degree of technical expertise with a working understanding of software solutions.
  • Knowledge of major strategic software publisher product lines, including current technologies, programs, and processes.
  • Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, HP, Dell, Lenovo, or ServiceNow sales certification preferred.

Gross profit increased 14.3% to $157.5 million, with gross margin expanding 30 basis points to 18.4%. President and CEO Timothy McGrath attributed the performance to customers' increasing focus on enterprise technology as they operationalise AI. The company's board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.20 per share, payable on 28 August 2026.

PC Connection chairman sells 14,000 shares for $998,000
